Ford Figo is the first hatchback from Ford Motors in India. Even
though, it is a first hatchback from the Company, people admired it. It has got
enough popularity around the country. It is the first hatchback to win numerous
awards like ‘car of the year 2010’, ‘Premium Hatchback award’ and ' Deciding
Car of the Gathering categories’ in domestic market. Within a short period of
its launch, it has crossed 1 lakh sales in Indian market. It is available in
both petrol and diesel variants. It comes with 7 wonderful colors in Indian
market namely Colorado Red, Chill, Diamond White, Moon Dust Silver, Panther
Black, Sea Grey and Squeeze. The price tag of it starts from Rs.3,49,900 and ends
up with Rs.5,29,900. No doubt, it is one of the best fuel efficient cars. It
gives the mileage of 14-18 Kmpl (City-Highway).  It is a strong contender against the models
like Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat, Maruti Swift, and Skoda Fabia.Exteriors: The exterior design of the car has an influence
of Italian style. The front fascia of the car is the best example for the
typical Ford design. It looks fresh from all the angels and can easily catch
attention in the density of cars. The Company is very smart, because the design
of the car is built in a way which suits the younger and elder generation
people. The front side of the car features elegantly designed Fog and Head
Lamps. The glowing grill adds the beauty of the car. The signature of the
company in the front robs many hearts. The body colored bumpers looks
impressive. Overall the exterior design of the car is excellent.



Interior: The interior space inside the car is not so comfort,
but you can still manage it. It is a five-seater hatchback. You need not to
compromise on luggage part, because this car gives efficient room to carry your
luggage. The dashing board is wide along with glove box. The quality of the
seats is good and can give comfort. The two-tone beige color is the central
attraction inside the car. It is available in 2 interior options, a very peppy
Coral IP theme and an Ebony Black one. It comes with the common interior
features like Audio System, AC, Cup Holders, and Seat Belts etc. Overall the
interior space is poor compare to its competitors in India.    



Engine and safety features: It is available in both petrol
and diesel variants. The high-end variants comes with the advance safety
features like Anti-lock Braking System with EBD, intelligent central locking,
engine immobilizer (PATS), 3 point seatbelts for front and rear seats, Deceleration
Warning system, and warning lamps. The safety features are capable to protect
the occupants in case of collision. Coming to the engine part, it comes with
1.2L petrol engine and 1.4L diesel engine. The 1.2L Duratec Petrol engine with SEFI
technology generates the maximum power of 70 bhp at 6,250 rpm and peak torque
of 102 Nm at 4000 rpm. The 1.4L CRDi diesel engine churns out the max power of 68
bhp at 4,000 rpm and a torque of 160 Nm at 2000 rpm. Both engines are loaded
with a 5-speed Manual Transmission gearbox. Overall the engine power is good
and easily reaches 0-100 Kmpl in just 8 seconds.
