depreciation in comparison to its counterparts. Essentially, your first
vehicle is the foundation for all vehicles you will ever own. You will
trade it in on your next car, and if it does not hold its value, you
could continue to pay for it as a part of your next car loan. This used
car will draw top dollar for trade in or to sell for a down payment when
the time comes for you to move into your newer better car—perhaps
another luxury BMW.

You may hear a lot of hype about needing a mechanic specializing in
luxury foreign cars or even on this type of vehicle specifically. For
some reason, people want to tout this as a con to purchasing this type
of vehicle, but there is not real downside to using special mechanic.

For one, you will not spend a lot of time searching for someone if your
vehicle needs maintenance or repair; you know where you are going, and
it is likely that such a specialized business will know its customers
well. Your used BMW has such a good record of infrequent repairs outside
of regular maintenance, that even if prices on parts are higher (which
is not always true), it really carries no weight on your investment in
