Chevrolet Beat, Well who doesn’t know the name. Yes, the
popular small car brand has recently launched the diesel variants of the same.
This now heats up the competition with the already existing Maruti Swift,
Hyundai i10 and the upcoming Honda Brio in the market. The price tag starts
from Rs. 5 Lakh and goes way up to 6.3 Lakh.



The car comes with a 1.0 Litre TCDi, SMARTECH diesel
engines, with 936cc of displacement, 4 to 6 Cylinders. General Motors reports
say the engines have maximum power of 57 at 4000 rpm and peak torque of 150 Nm
at 1750 rpm and will be less noisy and more eco friendly with a good fuel
economy.



The competition sure looks to have heated up as the other
models like Maruti Cervo, Honda Brio are expected to launch in the next 3
months. While the company has already taken a head start with advance bookings
starting as low as 5,000 rupees we will have to wait and watch out for how the
others pan out. The car’s fuel economy is 24 kmpl as per the ARAI (Automotive
Research Association India) reports which is a huge plus point in this segment.




With a no nonsense design, it is a perfect hatchback for the
metro audience and the tidiness comes as savior in the traffic and also gives
better rider comfort, irrespective of the conditions.  The front is sported with headlamps that
extend all the way along the back of the hood while the chrome coated grille is
the main focal point of the car’s beauty. The rear has a stylish yet different
tail lamps that are round with a sporty look. While the best part is the
colored bumpers and fog lamps that hold GM’s exterior design a class apart.
Other features included are like Integrated Rear Spoiler, Tubeless Tyres,
Stylized Wheels, Body Colored Bumpers and Body-color Tailgate Handle etc. 



With a five-seater hatchback the interiors are two coloured
with enough space for the occupants. Though carrying a extra baggage might be
cause of concern. The dashboard looks stylish giving it an outstanding appeal
with a body toned instrumental pane. Chevrolet Beat Diesel comes with a built
in audio and manual AC, while the top end model has advanced safety features
like airbags, ABS, Alloy wheels, Seatbelts, Power steering, Power window, Power
door locks and Cup holders.



The forthcoming Chevrolet Beat Diesel will be available in 4
variants in Indian market. The Chevrolet Beat Diesel models are as follows:

It is also available in seven colors namely Caviar Black,

Centre Stack Audio with USB and Aux-in Port, Steering Column mounted LED
