Mahindra Xylo, this
time it’s the MUV from Mahindra.  The Mahindra
Xylo is for the rough and rugged with an aggressive look yet appealing to
the eyes. Mahindra Xylo is the usual classy trademark MUV with a combo of sporty
and classy looks. This one looks like a sure shot for the adventure thirsty and
customers looking for a value buy.



Engine: Mahindra Xylo comes in two engine variants. The mEagle CRDe diesel engine
with a capacity of 2498cc is for the power fanatics with robust performance. Packed
with CRDI (Common Rail Direct Injection) the engine is available in 5 Speed
Manual Transmission. The engine delivers 112 bhp at 3800rpm with 260Nm of
torque at 1800- 2200rpm. They are also BS III and BS IV emission compliant. 
Exterior: The front grille immediately grabs attention with graphics. The
front bumper of the car complements the looks and offers good protection. The
door handles are simple and match the body color to the exterior. The Mahindra
Xylo occupies up to 7 people with a length- 4520 mm and Width- 1850 mm. While
the height is 1895 mm, the Wheelbase is - 2760 mm with a ground Clearance - 186
mm. 

Interiors: The interiors have ample space justifying the tag line 'Happy
Legs' .Whatever the terrain you drive on the comfort seems to just follow you.
The ambience inside is further enhanced with the leather and fabric upholstery.
Other features of Mahindra Xylo include door pads, chromed inner door
handles, sporty cockpit, drive selection and parking brake levers, wood print
panels, multi-meter. The adjustable steering wheel and the foldable arm rests
present in the Mahindra Xylo makes for a comfortable drive. The surround
cool dual AC cools the car instantly. The storage section is also taken care of
with the availability of huge leg space, cup holders and storage compartments
at the front doors. Some other exciting comfort features are the foldable
flight trays for snacks, mobile charging, courtesy lamps, express power
windows, integrated footstep, roof console for spectacle, etc.

Safety Features: It has 15 inch
alloy puncture resistant wheels. The specification of wheels are 215/75 R15 for
both the front and rear tyres whereas the tyre size of D2 variant is 205/65 R15
for both the front and rear tyres for taming any road condition. Then the usual
safety measure like the ABS, Airbags for all, fog lamps, engine immobilizer,
crumple zone protection, and seat belt warning to name a few.

Ride and Handling: The Xylo comes with front disc and back drum brakes with ABS
proof with independent coil spring suspension at the front and multi link coil
spring at the rear. This high powered engine delivers an impressive mileage of
10.6 kmpl in the city and 14.1 kmpl on the highways.

Available in four basic models it comes in shades of
Diamond White, Toreador Red, Gold Shimmer, Fiery Black, Java Brown, Mist Silver
and Rocky Beige. Entertainment is not far behind with the surround sound and
with a starting price of Rs 7,16,700* going up to Rs
9,42,300, surely one is tempted to be not left behind.
